New York based brand Plastic Hxllywxxd strikes again with another high fashion brand jersey. Combining the Yves Saint Laurent brand with the Chicago White Sox and creating a masterful piece that any sports/fashion collector should own. Priced at $200USD the pieces were available for sale last week Thursday (Sept 10th). Right in time for New York Fashion Week. Good luck on purchasing one of these jerseys, they’re limited to only 50 pieces.
Designer Don C sits down with GQ’s style editor Will Welch to explain the inspiration and creation of his famous JustDon snakeskin baseball caps. Chicago native Don explains how the idea of the “buck fifty” cap originated in his home town. Originally worn by drug dealers in the late 70’s & 80’s, Don C tried to sell the idea to companies but no one would produce the idea. So in 2011 he decided to take it upon himself to recreate the classic hat that originally costed $150 ((hence the name “buck fifty”)). Virgil Abloh of OFF-WHITE c/o and Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment Design have teamed up to present a killer collaboration which they are cleverly calling “OFF-BLACK”. The collaboration consists of pieces such as tote bags, shoes, t-shirts and flannels that the OFF-WHITE brand has become famous for. These pieces will be extremely limited and available at Hiroshi’s the POOL aoyama concept shop starting August 26th.
Saint Laurent is bringing the heat this fall season with two new shades of Metallics being added to their SL10H design. You might remember a few years ago SLP introduced the silver and gold metallic colorways. This year they’re introducing the red and blue shiny shades. Each pair will be priced at $645USD and should be arriving in stores in the next few weeks. 
In street fashion and culture there are barely any designers who have come to the table and presented things that actually made sense (I’m glad this article isn’t about that). But designer and founder of Upscalehype.com Allen Onyia has offered up some classic pieces that are sure to make every mans closet pop. These pieces were not only designed with great thought and understanding, but also decently priced in a market that charges its customers hundreds of dollars without any reasoning on basic essentials like a t-shirt. In all honesty we feel as though Woanderluste has not yet gotten the credit that it deserves. They have stuck to fashion tradition in the color selections, while still keeping the garments fresh and eye catching with clean silhouettes. Wanderluste has done what very few brands have done in the past, and that is create pieces that can go with any other pieces ((shorts/slacks/denim)). Nike Lab has reintroduced it’s classic canvas Vandal high in a simple black and silver color-way with white sole. For the silhouette alone this purchase should have been a no brainier for any sneaker head collection. New York based brand Plastic Hxllywxxd is kicking off its brand launch with a collection of baseball jerseys paying homage to some of High Fashions most iconic brands. Each baseball jersey is also based on famous MLB baseball team themes. The Dripping C Chanel Jersey is mimicked after the Yankees iconic navy blue pinstripe colorway, and The YSL (SLP) mimics the Chicago White Sox logo. The number on the back of each jersey signifies a specific milestone for each fashion house. The Number 5 on the Chanel Jersey signifies the brands infamous fragrance and the number ’96’ on the back of the YSL jersey is in tribute to the year designer and game changer Hedi Slimane took over the fashion houses menswear line. BAPE kids definitley outdid themselves with this Fall/Winter 2014 collection. The Japanese brand manages to preserve the fun and cool flare that it is known for. With popular camo prints, witty colors and baby milo, this is one of the best kid collections out. Available for both boys and girls with dope parents.
Not much is known about the 40 Below Timberland X A$AP collaboration boots, but what is known is that the boot comes in two different color variations (wheat/pink & wheat/yellow). The boots also have embossed printed “A$AP Worldwide” logos on the tongue and side panels of the boots. Timberland is set to release quite a few collaborations in 2014 to continue the celebration of their 40th anniversary.
