My homie and long time friend Kristoff Murphy has released his first SS13 T-shirt under his clothing collective “Rebel Socialite”. The shirt is a classic piece paying homage to the NYC celebration amongst the movers and shakers of the downtown underground that we have made so popular in this city. Below Kris explains the inspiration behind the “1984 Cristal” limited edition T-shirt.

Fashion News: London Men’s Fashion Week

9 Jan

London Men’s Fashion Week began yesterday, featuring masculine eye-catching designs.  The most in-your-face creation came from Craig Green, filled with imagination and wonder. The collection included blacked-out wood headwear, oversized layerings, and crinkled fabrics. This was Green’s first time showing at the “MAN” fashion show which introduces new talent to the fashion industry and media.

Day one also included the Topman collection debut. This was a more traditional and appealing line. A winter white palette with shades of orange and red, with loose fitting trouser, double pleats, and sock stuffed combat-boots.

Music News: G.O.O.D Music presents “Cruel Summer”

20 Sep

In a year that has already become a milestone in hip hop and R&B history, Sir Kanye West has dropped his latest body of work featuring his G.O.O.D music counterparts. In my honest opinion there has not been a body of work this valid to hip hop culture in a very long time from one music group. Honestly not since the Bad Boy days has there been one album featuring so many artist and every song on the album is just as powerful and hard-hitting as the one before it. Featuring artist such as R. Kelly, Jadakiss, Ghostface Killa, Raekwon and Ma$e, the G.O.O.D Music Cruel Summer compilation is sure to be one if not the best collectives for years to come.

Fashion & Prints: Top Three Prints right now

20 Aug

This upcoming fall season brings out the best in prints for men and women alike……

PAISLEY:

So it seems like since the beginning of time the famous Paisley bandana print has been a hit. From the cowboys to modern day high fashion it has definitely stood the test of time.

CHEETAH:

Contrary to many peoples beliefs cheetah is king when it comes to prints these days. It is everywhere, from scarves to jackets. Even though mistaken for its close cousin the Leopard, Cheetah still reigns supreme .

FLORAL:

Floral print is the underdog of the bunch. This might be because of its lack of popularity in the past . In the 90’s floral wasn’t a huge hit with males, but in the 21st century it seems to be pretty popular especially amongst the guys.

G-Shock 29th Anniversary Party!!!

15 Aug

So last week thursday Casio G-Shock hosted its 29th anniversary event featuring Eminem and Slaughterhouose! I could barely take picture in the event since I was literally running into a lot of people that I know but the event was star studded. Everyone from John Leguizamo, DJ Drama, Alec Baldwin, Iced T & Coco, Busta Rhymes, Rocsi (106&Park), Miguel, Nigel Sylvester, Stevie Williams, Eric Haze and the list goes on were in attendance. Watches were given out throughout the night to commemorate the event. Check out the few pictures that I was actually able to take over the course of the wild night !!

The Three “Cam” Commandments!!: Camouflage style tips to follow

6 Aug

Camouflage has always been popular. It has gone from the world wars to designers like Maharishi basing their  whole brand around it. But there are definitely rules when it comes to incorporating camo to your everyday life and style. Below are some rules that I always abide by when it comes to wearing the notorious C.A.M.O !!

1. Up or Down:  There is definitely a limit to how much should be worn. Less is more, your choice top or bottom!

2. Camo Holds Weight:  Let the camo print take the lead of any outfit. It demands its own attention, no need to do too much else with an amazing camo print  garment.

 3. All Camo is NOT Created Equal: There are many different shades, shapes and colors, but they do not all look amazing when worn.

Sneak No Peaking : Look into BBC X Mark Mcnairy “Bee Line”

4 Aug

On one of my many adventures to BBC/BGC/Ice Cream/Bee Line-land where I got a sneak peak at what you can expect to see from the highly sought after “bee line” between Pharrell and designer Mark Mcnairy. Now I can’t give to much away but I felt that this new SnapBack varsity cap was one of the dopest pieces.

The hats will come in a few color ways and it has a chenille letter “B” as the center logo. What makes this cap extra cool is the word “Billionairy” that signifies the collaboration between BBC & Mark Mcnairy.
