New York based brand Plastic Hxllywxxd strikes again with another high fashion brand jersey. Combining the Yves Saint Laurent brand with the Chicago White Sox and creating a masterful piece that any sports/fashion collector should own. Priced at $200USD the pieces were available for sale last week Thursday (Sept 10th). Right in time for New York Fashion Week. Designer Don C sits down with GQ’s style editor Will Welch to explain the inspiration and creation of his famous JustDon snakeskin baseball caps. Chicago native Don explains how the idea of the “buck fifty” cap originated in his home town. Originally worn by drug dealers in the late 70’s & 80’s, Don C tried to sell the idea to companies but no one would produce the idea. So in 2011 he decided to take it upon himself to recreate the classic hat that originally costed $150 ((hence the name “buck fifty”)). Young up and coming fashion designers Noel Veloz & Vadim Chinderjinschi are the Hemincuff NYC, designers who are coming out of the gate with an amazing first collection of leather goods and accessories.
The design process at Hemincuff was born out of the need to reinvigorate classic products and bring them to life. Our design process draws ideas from our environment, by asking questions and observing what we can do to display a true reflection of our surrounding and interests. Our methods are simple. We get an idea and we pick up the sketch book and draw it. We pride ourselves in creating products that serve as both functional and fashionable. We aim to display progression with every new design and bring new concepts to life in order to separate ourselves from the standard. We strongly value freedom of expression through products that can be used as a display of personality and individualism.
The leather pieces range from $220 – $550USD and will be available at the Hemincuff website. 
Virgil Abloh of OFF-WHITE c/o and Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment Design have teamed up to present a killer collaboration which they are cleverly calling “OFF-BLACK”. The collaboration consists of pieces such as tote bags, shoes, t-shirts and flannels that the OFF-WHITE brand has become famous for. These pieces will be extremely limited and available at Hiroshi’s the POOL aoyama concept shop starting August 26th.
Saint Laurent is bringing the heat this fall season with two new shades of Metallics being added to their SL10H design. You might remember a few years ago SLP introduced the silver and gold metallic colorways. This year they’re introducing the red and blue shiny shades. Each pair will be priced at $645USD and should be arriving in stores in the next few weeks. 
Nike is suing three of its former employees for upwards of $10 million for allegedly stealing trade secrets when they jumped ship for rival sportswear brand Adidas. The Fashion Law reports that Marc Dolce (Nike’s former global design director), Mark Miner (Nike’s former senior global footwear designer), and Denis Dekovic (Nike’s former senior design director) are being sued for contract breaching , unfair competition, and violations of the Uniform Trade Secrets Act.
Not only are the former employees accused of leaking design secrets, but they also allegedly consulted with Adidas long before leaving Nike, in particular on Adidas’s new Brooklyn-based studio. (Nike says it’s just a rip-off of its own labs). Adidas is in hot water, too: Nike claims that the rival company knew of the contract breaching and promised the three employees that it would pay for legal coverage if Nike decided to go after them legally. via Hmmm I wonder if this have anything to do with Kanye West?
