Fashion News: DON C sits with GQ to discuss the JUST Don brand and inspiration

Designer Don C sits down with GQ’s style editor Will Welch to explain the inspiration and creation of his famous JustDon snakeskin baseball caps. Chicago native Don explains how the idea of the “buck fifty” cap originated in his home town. Originally worn by drug dealers in the late 70’s & 80’s, Don C tried to sell the idea to companies but no one would produce the idea. So in 2011 he decided to take it upon himself to recreate the classic hat that originally costed $150 ((hence the name “buck fifty”)). Fashion News: HEMINCUFF NY leather collection FW15

      Young up and coming fashion designers Noel Veloz & Vadim Chinderjinschi are the Hemincuff NYC, designers who are coming out of the gate with an amazing first collection of leather goods and accessories.    

     The design process at Hemincuff was born out of the need to reinvigorate classic products and bring them to life. Our design process draws ideas from our environment, by asking questions and observing what we can do to display a true reflection of our surrounding and interests. Our methods are simple. We get an idea and we pick up the sketch book and draw it. We pride ourselves in creating products that serve as both functional and fashionable. We aim to display progression with every new design and bring new concepts to life in order to separate ourselves from the standard. We strongly value freedom of expression through products that can be used as a display of personality and individualism.

      The leather pieces range from $220 – $550USD and will be available at the Hemincuff website.  

  

Fashion News: the POOL aoyama X Virgil Abloh present the “OFF-BLACK” Capsule collection

Virgil Abloh of OFF-WHITE c/o and Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment Design have teamed up to present a killer collaboration which they are cleverly calling “OFF-BLACK”. The collaboration consists of pieces such as tote bags, shoes, t-shirts and flannels that the OFF-WHITE brand has become famous for. These pieces will be extremely limited and available at Hiroshi’s the POOL aoyama concept shop starting August 26th.
